WWE Rumors: John Cena and the Undertaker set to clash at WrestleMania 34

We are getting to the “Super Bowl” of pro wrestling. WrestleMania 34 is only a few months away, but the card should be coming clearer over the next few weeks. One of the matches being talked about for the showcase of the immortals would involve two legends in this industry. According to some WWE Rumors, we could see a John Cena Vs. Undertaker matchup.

There have been several reports coming out that the Undertaker is set to return to WWE TV at the 25th Anniversary show of RAW. However, there has been speculation that it won’t be a one time deal for the deadman. These reports have gone on to say that the Undertaker will be setting up a match at WrestleMania 34. This is interesting because they played off that he had “retired” after losing to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33. If this is true, then it begs the question of who it would be?

There have been people who have speculated that it could be Braun Storwman or one of the younger guys. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case. The reports have said that the match Undertaker will be having is against John Cena. Like we have reported before on WBLZ that WWE had plans for John Cena that were bigger than the WWE title.

Is Undertaker Vs. John Cena A Good Idea For WrestleMania?

Personally, I am not a fan of this match at all. For starters, the retirement angle in Undertaker’s match with Reigns was pointless. In all honesty, the only way you don’t make that angle pointless is that you have Undertaker come back with a new gimmick. Secondly, Undertaker can’t wrestle anymore. As we saw in his match with Reigns the guy is really showing his age. Finally, the WWE needs to stop having part-timers be in the main event scene of the companies biggest show. I have argued a lot that this trend that began back at WrestleMania 27 when the Rock came back needs to stop.

If this truly happens, then it would be the seventh straight WrestleMania where a part-time was high on the card. At WrestleMania 27,28 and 29 we saw the Rock. WrestleMania 30 was Batista and WrestleMania 31 was Sting. Triple H was WrestleMania 32 and Goldberg and Lesnar was at last year’s event.
