WWE Rumors: Shinsuke Nakamura to be called up to the main roster on the night after Wrestlemania

There have been rumors floating around that the King of Strong Style could finally be heading up to the main roster soon. There has been speculation that he could be getting the call up to the main roster either during or the night after Wrestlemania 33. It has been a custom for quite some time that the WWE will debut new wrestlers on the main roster the night after Wrestlemania.

He is set to face Bobby Roode for the NXT Title at Takeover the weekend of Wrestlemania and its not uncommon for the NXT stars to work double duty that weekend. An example of this is if you look at Baron Corbin, he had a match against Austin Aries at NXT Takeover Dallas and then worked the Andre the Giant Battle Royal at Wrestlemania 32. However, I don’t see how WWE can give Nakamura a match at Wrestlemania being that the card is all but made official and there is no room for him. I could see WWE putting him in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal, but I find that highly unlikely.

Since Nakamura has been on NXT, he has been the NXT champion twice and has headlined several of the Takeover events. I personally would like to see him debut on Smackdown and not RAW for one reason. If he gets brought up on RAW, then I could see him getting lose in the shuffle. However, if he were to debut on Smackdown Live, I would not be surpised to see him get a major push towards the WWE title very fast.

I don’t see Nakamura being the only one to get the call up after Wrestlemania. I see Tye Dillinger, The Revival, Asuka, and #DIY getting called up after Wrestlemania. Let us know in the comment below if you would like to see Nakamura up on the main roster.
