WWE Rumors: Rey Mysterio’s First Feud Has Him Going for a Belt
The WWE world has been buzzing about the news that Rey Mysterio had re-signed. The feeling is that he will probably debut on Smackdown 1,000 that’s in a couple of weeks. It seems that we may know which WWE superstar will be the first one to feud with him. According to several rumor mills, WWE might be planning to have Rey Mysterio feud with current United States champion, Shinsuke Nakamura.
These sites are also reporting that the first match between these two gifted superstars might happen at WWE’s Crown Jewel. For starters, this would mean he is heading to the blue brand. In the long haul, it would benefit him. If he were to go to Raw, then he’d get lost in the shuffle. Being that it seems he is heading to Smackdown, the list of dream matches is endless. Starting him off with Nakamura is a good idea. Rey Mysterio is not someone who needs to build up wins to gain credibility. However, you may have some fans who don’t know who he is. In Mysterio’s first few matches, I would have him get easy wins. You could start the feud with Nakamura around Halloween and have their first encounter be in Saudi Arabia.
If you wanted to, the Mysterio feud with Nakamura could have its blow-off at the Royal Rumble. You can have Rey Mysterio take the belt and then enter into a dispute with Andrade Almas. You know the fans are dying to see a clash between Almas and Mysterio. What better way to have their first clash be at WrestleMania for the US title. If you go that route, then you could stretch the Nakamura/Mysterio feud to whatever the February PPV is. If this is the route, then you don’t have to have a singles match at the Rumble. You can have a scenario where Nakamura eliminates Mysterio.
