WWE Rumors: Roman Reigns WrestleMania opponent reveled
Since the brand split happened, Braun Strowman has been booked as being an unstoppable monster. He went through a stretch of matches where he would go up against local talent before he had a match against Sin Cara. Now he is currently in a program with Sami Zayn and he is more than likely going to go over. Apparently, WWE has big plans for Strowman heading into 2017.
According to several insiders, WWE is planning on having Strowman challenge Roman Reigns for the United States title at WrestleMania 33. However, WWE is more than likely going to have Strowman go into a short feud with the Big Show with those two giants more than likely meeting at the Royal Rumble. This will be done to cement Strowman as being one of the giants of the WWE. There is also a feeling with Strowman and Big Show will be a series of challenges like body slam challenges and arm wrestling contest. It is also expected that Strowman will be booked incredibly strong.
Being that you have Kane and Big Show are towards the end of their careers, wrestlers like Baron Corbin, Big Cass, and Strowman are more than likely going to be the next ones to take those spots. However, WWE is in a bad spot as either way the booking for this match will have a ton of criticism. On one hand, WWE won’t have their biggest face lose on the biggest stage and they don’t want Roman Reigns to bury Strowman, if he does beat him.
So it will be interesting to see how WWE handles Strowman over the next few months leading into WrestleMania. Depending on how WWE books Strowman will truly determine how WWE books him at the biggest stage.
This is just a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt.
