WWE: There are a few problems with the greatest faction list
On Sunday afternoon, the WWE went to social media to ask their fans who are their favorite faction? The list that was comprised has caused a lot of talk among the Internet Wrestling Community (IWC). In case you didn’t know, a faction is where you have three or more superstars who are fighting for a common goal.
As it was shown on Instagram, here is who the WWE comprised as the top ten factions within the WWE:
10. Undisputed Era
9. Freebirds
8. Nexus
7. Hart Foundation
6. New Day
5. Evolution
4. NWO
3. DX
2. Four Horsemen
1. The Shield
Personally, I have a few issues with this list. For starters, how in the hell did Undisputed Era make this list. They have only been in NXT for a little bit over a year. Over that one year, they are two-time NXT tag champions and Adam Cole became the North American Champion. I don’t feel Nexus should be on the list as well. This one is more on the booking of the group. They were never booked the right way and never got to the height of where they should have been. In addition, The New Day being on the list is interesting. Yes, they have won the tag titles a total of five times. However, it seems that they are always in the title picture.
There are a few I am sort of surprised didn’t make the list. They would include the Von Erichs, Brood, The Corporation, The Ministry of Darkness, Triple Threat, and probably the most shocking one of all is that Nation of Domination isn’t on the list. The other major problem with this list is it tough to compare different eras of wrestling. Wrestling was different when Freebirds were around from when DX was around. It’s the same reason you can’t come up with the greatest hitters in baseball or greatest quarterbacks in the NFL.
