WWE: Three Questions that NXT Needs to Answer in Next Tapings

NXT is doing there next set of tapings soon for the fallout from Takeover. On the night of Takeover, we saw a lot of action. Adam Cole won the first-ever North American NXT title and along with Kyle O’Reilly would end up retaining the tag titles. Aleister Black dethroned Almas and Bazler beat Moon.

We would also see Gargano defeat Ciampa. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that we would see the in-ring debuts of EC3 and Ricochet in the ladder match. Now that is all behind NXT, they need to start laying the groundwork for the next Takeover.

Here are a few questions that WWE’s NXT needs to answer.

What do you do with EC3, Ricochet, and War Machine?

We saw the in-ring debuts for EC3 and Ricochet at Takeover. War Raiders (formerly War Machine) made their debut at the NXT after Takeover. Now that all three of them are on NXT TV, you need to start laying out what programs they will be involved in. Personally, I would have all three of them gun for titles. It is clear War Raiders should go for the NXT tag titles. I would have Ricochet go for the NXT title and EC# go for the North American title.

Then, Ricochet should go for the NXT title just to see the type of match between him and Black. On the other hand, EC3 and Adam Cole feuding over the North American title for a bit won’t be bad. It’s also worth mentioning that Cole and EC3 are great on the mic, so the promos in that feud would be great.

What do you do with the NXT Woman’s title?

I guess we will still get the rematch between Moon and Bazler down the road. However, now that Ember Moon is on the main roster, I find it rather unlikely that she will retain. I would suspect that Kiari Sane and Bazler would feud over the belt for a bit. Not to mention, the two of them were finals in the Mae Young Classic over the summer and have had an on and off feud. I could also see Candice LeRae getting put into the title picture at some point.

What is next for Johnny Gargano?

Since the calendar turned to 2018, Johnny Gargano has had a big role in NXT. He was involved in the title match at Takeover and it even got to the point that he put his career on the line. He would then turn his attention to Ciampa. The stipulation to their Takeover match would be that Johnny Gargano would end up getting his job back. However, since he has done everything he could do, where do you go with him?

Personally, I would say he should go to Smackdown. If he goes to RAW, he will get stuck in the 205 division. While he deserves to be in that division, I am afraid that he wouldn’t do anything else than 205. If you put him on Smackdown, then you are giving him many more opportunities. You could have him feud with Nakamura, Styles, or Daniel Bryan to name a few options.
