WWE: Was there a point to putting the belts on the Revival?

The Revival

The WWE finally pulled the trigger on the Revival a few weeks ago.   They were able to dethrone the tag team champions in Bobby Roode and Chad Gable. Since the Revival did win, the WWE hasn’t done anything with them. In the last two weeks, they have lost to both the team of Aleister Black/Ricochet and D.I.Y. I get the fact that you want to showcase your talent from NXT, but why at the expense of Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson

The Revival has been on the main roster since April 3, 2017. Since they came up from NXT, the feeling was that they would be pushed right for the tag team belts. Your talking about one of the more dominating teams in NXT, so the feeling was that they would get pushed. However, injuries would end up derailing their push. Once AEW came into the picture, the rumors started circulating that the Revival would be heading for AEW. All of a sudden, they started winning again and actually won the titles from Roode and Gable. Everyone was happy and thought that they would finally be getting a proper push. However, that’s not the case. There has been talk among the IWC to why the WWE is doing what they are doing to the Revival.

On the Comeback Wrestling Show, the host, Jon, made a theory to why the WWE put the belts on the Revival. According to him, it was done so that the WWE could shut their fans up. They felt that if they put the titles on Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson, people would stop complaining. If they actually were behind the Revival, then they would not book them to lose clean to NXT talent. They lost to a team that was just created recently.

The Comeback Wrestling Show airs Wednesday nights from 9pm to 11pm.
