WWE: Who should win the Money in the Bank
While the RAW brand is getting ready for Extreme Rules this weekend. The other brand, Smackdown, is getting ready for their next pay-per-view called Money in the Bank. This event will be coming from St. Louis. We will see Randy Orton get a shot at the WWE title against Jinder Mahal, the New Day challenging the Usos for the Smackdown tag titles, and a Woman’s Money in the Back matches as of this writing.
However, I will be looking at the match that will be headlining the event. We will be seeing Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, Nakamura, AJ Styles, and Dolph Ziggler compete in the Money in the Bank match. For starters, I cannot see guys like Dolph Ziggler or Kevin Owens win the match.
Kevin Owens is the US title holder and typically the WWE doesn’t give someone the briefcase who already has a title. On the other hand, I don’t see Dolph Ziggler winning the Money in the Bank match as the WWE has not really done anything with him since he turned heel.
This would end up leaving Nakamura, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, and AJ Styles as being the four likely people to capture the briefcase. You could clearly make an argument for any of these guys to win the briefcase. I am not a betting man, but I see Nakamura winning the briefcase. However, I don’t feel he should get it. He is very talented in the ring, however, he will not be able to carry a feud with either Mahal or Orton because English isn’t his first language.
The superstar who I feel should win it is Baron Corbin. He has the build and he can easily carry a program with either superstar. Also, the WWE had him win the Andre the Giant Battle Royal at Wrestlemania 32 and I feel they really have not done anything with him. He had the brief program with Dean Ambrose for the WWE Intercontinental title. He would end up losing the feud at Wrestlemania 33.
Also, due to how there is a lack of heels on the Smackdown brand, you need to establish others. You have done that with Jinder Mahal over the last few weeks, but you need to build others. The list of heels are not as strong as it is on the red brand. On Smackdown you have Kevin Owens, Jinder Mahal, and you could probably throw Rusev into that group.
