WWE: WrestleMania 35 is the right time to induct Paul Heyman into Hall of Fame

WrestleMania 35 is less than a year away in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The weekend leading up to the big event, the WWE will be holding their annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony. This is the ceremony where the WWE will honor their past. Over the years, there have been managers who have been inducted. They have included the Grand Wizard (1995), Captain Lou Albano (1996), and Bobby Heenan (1997) were some examples. There is another manager/advocate who the WWE should induct into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The next one who should join the Wizard, Albano, and Heenan in the WWE Hall of Fame is none other than Paul Heyman. He has been involved in wrestling for most of his life. Heyman started at the age of 12 taking pictures at the Garden for Vince McMahon Sr’s WWF days. He had a big influence in WCW, ECW, and WWE. Over the years, he has been responsible for helping guys like CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, Big Show, Sabu, RVD, and others. He would also be a huge part of the early days of Smackdown.

While he has a ton of accomplishments, there is one that would surpass all of those. He is the main reason for ECW becoming a staple during the late 1990s. Prior to him, Terry Gordy ran the ECW brand. He wasn’t able to have much success and eventually gave all responsibilities to Paul Heyman. You could make the argument that he is responsible for the hardcore style match.

Since WrestleMania is in New Jersey, it would make a ton of sense to induct Paul Heyman into the Hall of Fame. He is from New York and made his name in Philadelphia. He is also the advocate of Brock Lesnar, the guy who would give Undertaker his first loss at WrestleMania.
