Xbox: 5 Gamepass Games Should You Try
When it comes to console gaming, everyone has their favorite games to keep them entertained. More recently, developers have been putting games for free on consoles via subscription services. For all you Xbox lovers, here’s some of the library we’ve given a whirl in case you’re looking for something new.
Ark: Survival Edition
What better way to mindlessly game after a rough day than a dinosaur survival game. You choose your map, wake up with nothing but a loincloth, start gathering resources, build whatever you need to survive, and hunt. You start off with primitive tools and work your way up to fully advanced weapons. Then you hunt down animals to kill or tame to kill for you. At its core Ark is a simple game with plenty of challenges. You can easily lose yourself for hours gathering the resources needed to make your next piece of gear.
Batman: Arkham Knight
The Batman series has been excellent right on through. Every so often I’ll turn on the Xbox and fire this one back up just to try and get the random puzzles spread out throughout the map. This old-school-style beat-em-up game with a Batman theme is just what you need if you want to take out some aggression. Most of these games dive deep into Batman lore and give you plenty of backstory on your favorite heroes and villains. There’s a good fight system and level progressions perfect for comic book fans.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance
Have you ever played the classic Dungeons & Dragons? Do you wish they had a console game? Do you have the patience of a saint? Good, because Dark Alliance will test your patience. It has come a long way since the launch but it’s still a little clunky. It’s basically a dungeon raider where you fight your way through stages, loot gear, and then level to your next set of loot items. The game itself is fun, but like most games these days seems like it was released too soon.
Dragon Quest Builders 2
If you’re looking for a more polished version of Minecraft with missions, check out Dragon Quest Builders 2. It’s one of those Xbox games where you can get caught up in missions or just tool around collecting resources and building. The time and effort to which people have invested some of the cooler things in this game is awesome. If you need to release some creative energy, dive in on this one.
Forza Horizon 4
Good racing games are hard to come by these days. Forza has had tremendous success with its main title and Horizon. Forza Horizon 4 on Xbox brings all the elements of the previous Horizon games and expands to a newer and larger map. You’ll still find the classic cars as well as the fast cruisers. Forza Horizon is at the peak of racing games right now.
There are way more recommendations to come. The more we game the more you’ll know.
