XFL Host City Announcement: How to Watch
It’s been 18 years since the XFL kicked off their first official football game for founder Vince McMahon. With months and months of build up and hype, it never quite lived up to the fame and quickly fizzled out after one short season.
With McMahon never being one to fully give up on a product, there had been rumors of the league returning and in 2020 football fans will get their wish. With football growing more and more popular each year, fans are always looking to get more action. The XFL initially had a ton of promise and long-time wrestling fans and sports fans alike instantly bought into the excitement. With today’s NFL landscape growing more and more frustrating for fans, it could be the perfect time to revisit this once great idea.
Between political/social issues ever-growing and the rules changing the game fans once loved, the NFL is quickly losing favor amongst viewers. The only problem the new XFL will face is the understandable “wait and see” approach with most traditional football fans. After the disappointment of the initial league a lot of viewers won’t be on the bandwagon right away. Especially with only 8 teams initially announced later today. Which cities will be the first to see the new XFL? Will they be able to connect to today’s audience? How can this league distance itself from the original and put out a better product? You can tune in to their press conference today:
